WPMA Blind Ad – Business Manager Opportunity
Seeking a business manager to lead a small wood products import company based in Northern New England (flexible/remote location possible). This is a hands-on role with full operational responsibility, supported by a part-time assistant.
The business has an established customer base with annual sales exceeding $1 million and imports approximately one container per month for cabinet and furniture manufacturing. Inventory is maintained in contract warehouses in the central U.S., with accounting handled by an outside firm.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as primary contact for customers and maintain strong relationships

Drive sales growth through prospecting, outreach, and lead management

Communicate regularly with overseas parent company

Oversee daily operations, order processing, and coordination with warehouses

Manage pricing, profitability, and QuickBooks functions

Handle inventory, logistics, and vendor relationships

Monitor freight costs and ensure competitive delivered pricing

Manage accounts receivable and collections

Attend occasional trade shows and travel as needed
Position is full-time with a flexible schedule; remote work is possible. Transition support will be provided.

Successful candidate must have high ethical standards and extensive experience in managing both high-end commercial and residential projects.
