DIMENSION AND COMPONENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Babcock Lumber Company, a recognized leader in hardwood processing and manufacturing, is seeking a Dimension and Component Sales Representative reporting directly to the Dimension Mill Manager.  This individual will be responsible for initiating and responding to sales opportunities related to hardwood dimension/components, for all of the division’s manufacturing facilities.  Willingness to relocate to our Champion, Pennsylvania Divisional Headquarters is preferred, but not required.  Relocation assistance is offered.

Key Responsibilities:
· Pursue leads and generate inquiries for dimension /component sales.
· Communicate inquiries for product to the Dimension Mill Manager for assessment of viability and formulation of quotes.
· Present recommendations to both the Dimension Mill and Sales & Marketing Managers regarding dimension/component marketing initiatives.
· Develop / foster new customer accounts, and maintain existing customer accounts.
· Possess a clear understanding of manufacturing capabilities / capacities, and effectively communicate our strengths to potential customers.  

Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the hardwood lumber industry, consisting of a combination of operations and sales.
· Working knowledge of hardwood lumber species, products and end uses.
· Working knowledge of and sales contacts in all facets of the dimensioned hardwood marketplace, including turnings, stair parts, mouldings, S4S, edge/face glued panels and cabinet/door components.
· Possess an understanding of, or the ability to, operate equipment related to the manufacturing of dimensionalized lumber.
· Effective interpersonal skills and proven sales abilities.
· Computer literate.
· Ability to travel as necessary, with overnight stays.
