Distance Learning Programs

Due to the importance of maintaining a skilled workforce, WPMA has taken the initiative to work with the Forest and Wood Products Institute to offer distance learning programs for the wood products industry.

These programs are designed so that your employees do not need to miss valuable production time from your facility. Courses consist of training videos, homework assignments and weekly conference calls with other enrollees and the instructor.

This program is also a part of a 2 year degree curriculum. Some of the modules offered included:

• Supervisors Can Manage
• Methods Improvement and Manufacturing Efficiency
• Team Building
• Train the Trainer
• Wood Technology - 5 lessons on the basics of wood structure, properties and wood-moisture relations.
• Customer Service - everyone's job

The Association also has an extensive library of safety training videos that are available to members.
